klopfgeist contest 2004

In June 2004 a member of the Sonikmatter community (the unfortunately now closed page community.sonikmatter.com) had the brilliant idea to start a contest targeting to a song that solely bases on the Klopfgeist plugin and the plugins integrated in Logic Audio 5.x. And since this tiny softwrae instrument named Klopfgeist - which is mostly used as metronom sound source withing Logic - was invented and programmed by me, I had not other chance but to join this contest.

During this contest amazing sounds and songs where created by several people, using just simple technical means, but a huge amount of creativity and great ideas. Unfortunately, the mp3s files with the song that took part in the contest son't seem to be online anymore. But at least I found a reference to that context on the SoundOnSound webpage

Once again I want to say Thank you to all participiatns and especially to those who initiated and ran this contest. The contest has been a great source of creativity and and fun!

In the hopefully not to far future I intend to present some of the pieces that were created since 2002. Right now, in April 2021, a new 10 Minute instrumental is in the works. Feel free to check for new stuff every once in a while...
